Step 1. Launch

Step 2. Add Video To Convert

To add videos you want to convert, click the File button. In the displayed window select a necessary video file. Click Open. The selected file will be added to the list of opened files below.

Step 3. Select iPod MP4 Output Format

Open the Output format list, and choose Apple > iPod (320x240), iPod 5G (640x480) or iPod Touch (480x320).

Step 4. Specify File Name and Folder to Save Video

In the Save as field, enter the name for the converted video. In the Save to field, specify the folder where to store converted videos. Then, specify additional options for saving video:

• Overwrite existing files — check it to replace existing MP4 files with the same name with newly created ones;
• Add to iTunes — check it to open iTunes after conversion and automatically add converted video to iTunes library;
• Shutdown when done — check it to close the program window when conversion is completed.

Step 5. Select a Video Segment to Convert to iPod

To convert any segment of your video, click the Edit button next to your video in the list. In the opened window, drag the left marker to the beginning of a desired video episode and the right marker — to the end of it.

Step 6. Hit Convert to Save Your Movies to iPod MP4 Video

Make sure the added video file is checked in the List of opened files and hit Convert to convert it to iPod MP4.

Step 7. Transfer Converted Movies to iPod

You can add converted video to iTunes automatically or manually.

To add video automatically, select the Add to iTunes check box under the Save to section, and Need4Video Converter will open iTunes after conversion and add files to iTunes library.

To add video manually, open iTunes after conversion is successfully completed. Drag-and-drop converted videos from your Output folder to iTunes Video folder. Attach your iPod to the computer and synch it with iTunes.

To play the movie on your iPod, select Videos then Movies from the iPod Main Menu. You will see an alphabetical list of the available movies. Click on the desired movie to play it.
