How to Convert video files to WMV format for Zune.

Step 1. Launch

Step 2. Add Video To Convert to Zune

To add videos you want to convert, click the File button. In the displayed window, select a necessary video file. Click Open. The selected file will be added to the List of opened files below.

Step 3. Select Zune WMV Output Format

Open the Output format list, and choose Microsoft Zune > Zune WMV Video.

Step 4. Specify File Name and Folder to Save Video

In the Save as field, enter the name for the converted video. In the Save to field, specify the folder where to store converted videos. Then, specify additional options for saving video:

• Overwrite existing files — check it to replace existing WMV files with the same name with newly created ones;
• Open output folder when done — check it to open the folder with a ready file when conversion is finished. (Recommended);
• Shutdown when done — check it to close the program window when conversion is completed.

Step 5. Select a Video Segment to Convert to Zune

To convert any segment of your video, click the Edit button next to your video in the list. In the opened window, drag the left marker to the beginning of a desired video episode and the right marker — to the end of it.

Step 6. Hit Convert to Save Your video to Zune WMV

Make sure the added video file is checked in the List of opened files and hit Convert to convert it to Zune WMV.

Step 7. Transfer Converted Movies to Zune

Minimize the Zune video converter's window. Attach your device to the computer and sync it with Zune software. Wait for a minute or two while the program recognizes the device.
Zune library will be updated automatically if you save video to My Documents > My Video on your computer. If you save video to some other folder, you will have to copy converted video to the device manually.
